About the Opportunity:
Our plan in the Australian market is to work with quality, experienced operators who will hold exclusive territories with development commitments starting at three units. As we are only selling territory rights for Carl's Jr Australia, you would need to have a net worth of at least three million dollars depending on the number of unit territory you are applying for.
Carl's Jr. is America's fifth largest quick service hamburger restaurant chain. Carl's Jr. was established in 1941 and with a proven 70 plus year track record operates over 3,500 quick service restaurants in the U.S. and abroad (including Hardee’s, the alternate banner that the brand operates under). The company’s international presence includes franchisees operating restaurants in American Samoa, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam. In the near future, Carl's Jr. will add The Bahamas, Colombia, Denmark and Puerto Rico, to its list of countries offering Carl's Jr.'s delicious range of burgers and sandwiches.
Our menu consists of premium charbroiled hamburgers (including the now famous line of 100% Black Angus Beef Thickburgers), hand breaded chicken
tenders, charbroiled chicken sandwiches, hand-scooped ice-cream shakes, innovative breakfast offerings and other specialty menu items that have helped establish its enduring reputation for quality food.
Our expansion plans employ a franchise model known as "area development franchising" where a franchisee is granted exclusive development rights to
develop franchise restaurants in a defined geographic territory. The primary rationale for this approach is to insure that markets are developed to
achieve scale within a reasonable timeframe thus maximizing procurement, advertising, operating efficiency and overall market awareness.
We intend to award territorial franchise development agreements on a regional basis and we are looking for development commitments of 3+ restaurants per territory. The number of units required will depend on the size of the territory. The minimum net worth requirement for three restaurants is US$3,000,000 with a minimum liquidity requirement of US$1,000,000. For larger commitments, the requirements are $1,000,000 net worth per restaurant, 30% of which must be liquid.

Restaurant/hospitality experience preferred. If this is not possessed by the candidate, it is required that an “operating partner” with an equity stake in the business be part of the applying group.
